Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about VeriTalk's scam protection service
How does VeriTalk protect me from phone scams?
VeriTalk automatically monitors your calls in real-time, analyzing speech patterns and behaviors commonly associated with scams. When suspicious activity is detected, you'll receive immediate alerts and can choose to have calls automatically terminated.
What happens when a scam call is detected?
When a potential scam is detected, VeriTalk will play an audible warning notice that will be heard only by you (the caller will not hear it). You can choose to enable automatic call termination or receive alerts only. All interventions are customizable in your account settings.
Will VeriTalk record or store my phone conversations?
No. VeriTalk processes your calls in real-time without storing any conversation content. After the service hangs up on a caller, please stay on the line to confirm that the call was actually a scam. We will never keep any conversation details without this consent. For such calls, we will store information only about the caller and not your side of the conversation.
Will VeriTalk scan calls that I initiate?
No. VeriTalk only scans incoming calls. We may add outbound scanning in the future, if there is sufficient demand.
Does VeriTalk work with any phone carrier?
Yes, VeriTalk works with all major cellular providers in the United States. Through the use of our app, it integrates seamlessly with your existing phone service.
Can I use VeriTalk with a landline phone or non-smart cell phone?
VeriTalk is currently designed to work only with smartphones, although we may include future support for landline service if there is sufficient demand.
Can I protect multiple family members with one account?
Yes! Our Family Plan allows you to protect up to 10 phone numbers under a single account, with a unified dashboard to manage all protected lines.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes, you can try VeriTalk free for 7 days with our demo version. This includes all features of our standard plan so you can experience the full protection capabilities.
How much does VeriTalk cost?
VeriTalk is currently in development. We will provide a free trial period for our beta users. After the beta, we will announce our pricing model.
